# Kantharos

Kantharos is a Mac workspace for Hermes bots. The public 0.1.0 super early beta is available for Apple silicon Macs and connects to an existing working Hermes setup. Users can find bots, continue conversations, set friendly names and preferences, and choose among models configured in Hermes. Hermes owns runtime execution, tools, memory, skills, routines and sessions.

## Direction
Android, e-ink, Windows, Linux, iOS and Teams are roadmap work, not current download offerings. Kantharos is model-flexible, not currently open source. Model choices follow the configured Hermes providers. Self-hosted Hermes and a private model endpoint give control over where the runtime/model run; hosted model providers process submitted content under their own policies.
