Install the DEB with Ubuntu’s package installer, or run sudo apt install ./kantharos_0.1.0_amd64.deb.
Installation, app startup, normal quit, bridge shutdown and relaunch passed on Ubuntu 24.04 x64. Authenticated chat and history are still unverified on this Linux build.

Download Linux portable — x64Linux setup and compatibility
Extract the archive, open the Kantharos folder, and run ./kantharos.
Native startup checked on Ubuntu 22.04 x64. Requires a graphical Linux desktop, Electron’s native libraries and host support for user namespaces. For Ubuntu 24.04, use the Ubuntu DEB above.
Three steps on Mac. Then you’re in.
- Open the DMG and drag Kantharos into Applications.
- Open Kantharos and connect your existing Hermes instance.
- Choose a bot and continue the conversation.
